Blitz yourself with a dozen or so episodes of Lovejoy to get a pre-Facebook feel for the place.

I've lived in Norfolk for the best part of 40 years and I love it. Norwich is the only place with transport links but there are plenty of nice villages and towns near to Norwich. Beccles and Bungay to the east of Norwich, Harleston and Diss to the south, Aylsham to the north. North Norfolk is nice to visit but over priced property wise due to people calling it Chelsea on sea.......cunts corner as I call it.

You'll do well to find somewhere with good transport and is nice. You will find some nice places either a drive away from a mainline station or needing to get a weird little train to a mainline station.
South Suffolk/North Essex is exactly where I'd be living if I didn't have to be nearer London, lovely part of the world. I'd swerve Braintree, Ipswich, Haverhill and Colchester though.
Fuck Norfolk off too, fucking miles away.

Mallard. Was about 6 years ago on a Saturday where there were no more than 10 people in there. There was a magician and a mini train ride. Can't remember much more. I wad thinking of moving out there a while back but now I'm looking north of inverness.
